Why 3 Days Is Enough
The PADI Open Water Diver course is carefully designed to be completed efficiently without cutting corners on safety or quality. The knowledge development portion can be completed online through the PADI eLearning platform before you arrive at the dive school. This means when you show up on day one you are already ahead and can move straight into practical training.
Day 1: Theory and Pool Training
Your first day starts with a knowledge review with your instructor. Then you move to the pool for confined water training where you practice all the essential skills. Your instructor is with you every step of the way. Most students are surprised by how natural it all feels after just a couple of hours in the pool.
Day 2: First Open Water Dives
Day two is when the real magic happens. You leave the pool behind and head to the ocean for your first two open water dives. Day 3: Final Dives and Certification
On your final day you complete your last two open water dives. By the end of day three you have completed the course. You receive your official PADI Open Water Diver certification card and you are now a certified diver recognised in every country in the world.
